We want everyone to be able to use this website and read the Editions we make, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

01

1. Our commitment

This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The Editions we make for clients are designed and tested to the same standard (see our Terms, clause 2.5).

02

2. What you can do on this site

  • Navigate everything with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link on every page
  • Zoom to 400% with text reflowing to fit, with no sideways scrolling
  • Use a screen reader, with headings, landmarks, labelled forms and text descriptions of images
  • Read text that meets WCAG contrast requirements against its background
  • Browse without animation: the site does not use motion effects
03

3. How we tested it

We tested every page of this site on 9 October 2026 at desktop and phone sizes using the axe-core automated accessibility checker against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, and found no failures. We also checked keyboard navigation, reflow at 320 pixels wide and colour contrast.

Automated tools cannot find every problem, so we are also carrying out manual testing with screen readers (VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, and NVDA on Windows). We will update this statement with the results.

04

4. Known limitations

  • Some photographs on this site are temporary stand-ins. Their text descriptions will be reviewed when the final photography is added.
  • The sample Edition we link to is being updated to improve the colour contrast of its chapter navigation.
05

5. European Accessibility Act

The European Accessibility Act relies on the standard EN 301 549, whose latest version (v4.1.1, published September 2026) references WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the level we design and test to. We do not give legal advice on whether the Act applies to your organisation.

06

6. Feedback and contact

If you find something on this site or in one of our Editions that is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please email info@ariadneworks.com. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

07

7. About this statement

This statement was prepared on 9 October 2026, based on testing of the site carried out that day.
