A catalogue that answers the questions your engineers keep getting.
In most manufacturers, the knowledge that sells a complex range sits with two or three people. Here’s how a catalogue or product guide made as an Edition can carry more of it.

Most manufacturers with a complex range share the same quiet bottleneck. The specification sheets and PDFs answer the easy questions. The difficult ones, about which product suits an application, which combinations work and where the exceptions are, go to the same two or three experienced people.
Customers, distributors and new salespeople all rely on them whenever the answer isn’t obvious.
The answers exist. Getting to them is the problem
The knowledge is already written down somewhere: in the catalogue, the datasheets, the installation guides and the spreadsheet someone in engineering keeps for awkward configurations. It just isn’t in a form a customer or distributor can work through on their own.
So a distributor calls the technical team before they can quote. A configuration waits for someone in engineering to check it. A new salesperson spends months learning the range by asking the same questions their predecessor asked.
Small delays add up
None of this is a crisis on its own. Hours waiting for technical help before a quote. Days while a configuration is confirmed. Weeks when an invalid part number, or a valid one that was wrong for the application, works its way back. Months while a new starter learns the range well enough to advise on it.
The catalogue was designed to look good on a stand. It’s now read on a phone, on site, by someone who needs an answer.
Meanwhile the printed catalogue, the thing the marketing budget went on, becomes a large PDF that nobody can navigate on the device they actually have with them.

An Edition of your range
An Edition takes your catalogue, brochure or product guide and makes it properly for the screen, keeping your brand and your layout. The high-level product story and the detailed specifications live in one shareable Edition, so the same link works for a buyer browsing the range and an installer checking a dimension.
Where it genuinely helps, the Edition can also carry the knowledge that currently lives in someone’s head. A product selector, where a customer answers a few questions about their application and is pointed to the right product with the reasoning shown. A configurator or part number builder, so a distributor can build a valid code without checking it with an engineer first. Search that finds the right page without needing to know what the part is called. Step-by-step installation and commissioning sequences someone can follow on site.
We only add these where the range calls for them. A selector that doesn’t reflect how your products are really chosen is worse than none, so we build them with the people who make those decisions today.
Ranges change: specifications are updated, options added and older products withdrawn. Hosted with us, the Edition is versioned and kept current, so nobody is working from last year’s figures.
Start with one product family
This doesn’t need to be a new website or a large internal project. Start with one product family, one difficult selection decision, or the catalogue section that generates the most calls. The Edition sits alongside your existing website and sales process.
- Your catalogue and brand, made properly for the screen.
- Overview and technical detail in one shareable link.
- Selectors, configurators and search where they add real value.
- Versioned as the range changes, and owned outright by you.
We’ve spent more than fifteen years working with complex product ranges, deep technical information and the way purchasing decisions are really made. Tell us where customers, distributors or salespeople get stuck, and we’ll tell you honestly whether an Edition would help.
